INGREDIENTS
100 g butter, softened at room temperature
1 can (380 g) condensed milk
4 large eggs
250 g all-purpose flour
10 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch of salt
50 g raisins (optional)
Chocolate or powdered sugar for topping (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a round or square cake pan (8-inch/20 cm).
- Make the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the condensed milk until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt together.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. If using raisins, fold them in gently. - Bake the Cake : Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. - Once the cake has cooled, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate for a delicious finish.
